Fresh Lemon Ice Cream

Blend ingredients together. Freeze in 6 quart ice cream freezer, according to manufacturers directions, using 8 parts ice to 1 part salt. Pack allow to ripen 2 to 3 hours.

NOTE Form 4-quart freezer use following ingredients and proceed as above. Makes 14 servings.

2 quarts milk

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup lemon juice (3 lemons)

2 tsp lemon extract

4 cups sugar

NOTE If desired, ice cream may be served in hollowed out lemons, garnished with fresh mint.
