Kentucky Pecan Pie

Combine syrup, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla. Mix well. Add slightly beaten eggs. Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie crust. Sprinkle pecans over top. Bake in preheated 350 oven for approximately 45 minutes. Cool, top with whipping cream or ice cream. Serves 8.
